An evening sat around a fire with good company, good conversation and good food is an evening well spent.
Here are some fire pit ideas that you could incorporate into garden or patio, that will look good lit or unlit and bring back good memories nonetheless.
Also I must stress to you to do your research when looking to install a fire pit of any kind, it is fire after all.
1. Simple and traditional
You can’t really go wrong with a classic DIY fire pit, outlined by a rock pile. If you’re looking for something easy and casual, this may be the one for you.
2. A gated torch
If you’d like something more majestic, maybe vintage-medieval, then an this elevated fire pit might be the thing you’re looking for. Making sure it’s firmly secured in the ground, having this elevated iron torch in your garden would look quite striking against the night sky.
3. Quite a literal fire pit
A big lowered fire it in the middle of a gathering would create such a lovely atmosphere. This would be a perfect thing to have on your patio, but perhaps not your wooden decking.
4. Well… a well
Having a fire pit that is a little more built up seems ideal for a smaller garden as it could contain a hot fire but take up less ground space. There is also potential for resting a metal grill across it and chargrill some pineapple, a perfect fireside snack.
5. An outdoor fireplace
Almost like taking your fire place to the outdoors. This cabinet-like furniture frames the fire really nicely. You may not get a lot of heat from it but you will defiantly get a well-decorated glow for a warm night.
6. A modern touch
This has to be one of my favourites, an almost copper like bowl resting on curved stone pillars. Perfect height for light and warmth.
7. An almost ornamental flame
Having a more contained fire as a table feature would be perfect for all manner of dinner parties, cocktail evenings or chilled evening with some friends.
8. Almost a barbeque, but a little more fancy
This would almost feel like having a barbeque bar in your garden, with stools placed around it and an assortment of foods to cook yourself while enjoying a few drinks. A good end to a Saturday.
9. A rustic barrel
More along the lines of a bonfire, an old rusted barrel would be great if you live in a forested area and needed to burn longer branches. Also, if you’re careful, there’s the opportunity to insert foil covered cheese or meat under the barrel into the embers, for a perfectly roasted treat.
10. A water-fire feature?
If you’re can’t decided between a fire pit and a water feature, this may be fore you. This stunning fountain would be a beautiful centre piece for a garden, the reflection of the flames in the ever running water would spread the light even further.
